Eurogym students at the national MEP session in Bregenz

We, Sarah Emhofer (6b) and Victoria Bauer (6a), were very proud when we heard that we would be able to take part in the upcoming session of the Model European Parliament in Bregenz. We are both passionate students of English and we also love to state our opinions on important issues discussed at the MEP.

Quickly we got all important information from our teachers and were able to contact the other members of the organisation. After some preparation and research we were perfectly informed about our subjects and ready for our trip to Bregenz.

In Bregenz we were picked up by our host families who provided accommodation. Three days full of debates and challenging tasks but also team building activities, cultural experiences and a lot of fun followed. During the general assembly every group was supposed to present their resolution for the problem they had been assigned. Great ideas, heated debates and amazing speeches made our participation at the MEP an unforgettable experience.

Finally, we had to say goodbye to our new friends and fellow delegates and got on the train back home. We had a great time at the MEP and we would definitely love to meet our new friends soon and, of course, to consider and discuss major European issues and thus develop an increased awareness of how to live and enjoy democracy.
