Triumphant show in Grein’s historic Theatre
This year’s graduates staged an impressive show. ‘Tales from Canterbury’, written by Mr David Taylor (Vienna’s English Theatre) and inspired by Geoffrey Chaucer’s ‘The Canterbury Tales’, the audience accompanies pilgrims on their way home from Canterbury to London. As a pastime they start telling stories and thus provide the audience with an entertaining evening.
After intense rehearsals 8a and 8b students amused with witty scenes, wonderful acting and profound pronunciation. Spectators like LSI Mag. Franz Kappelmüller, Landtagsabgeornete BSI Notburga Astleitner, Hofrat Dr. Johannes Riedl, Mr. Franz Bauman (Fa. Baumann Glas), Prokurist Franz Strasser (Fa. HABAU) cheered and were thrilled with the performance.
As one of our school’s key projects this production adds up to an outstanding and remarkable collection. These productions enable our students to show various skills like speaking, acting, presentation techniques, teamwork, coping with stress, performing in a foreign language, and they experience great development in their personalities.
The project will always stay in our minds, unforgettable! A big thank you to Mr David Taylor, our ‘god of theatre’, to the teachers and last but not least, our brilliant stars from 8a and 8b!
