A post-show analysis(of Shakespeare) Be With You"
This year`s theatre production by our 45 students from 8a and 8b can really be called a „theatrical feast“, as was proudly announced by one of the mistresses of ceremony at the start of the play. The brilliance and creative output of two congenial writers - Master Shakespeare and Mr. David Taylor, our God of English Theatre“, were celebrated, hailed, reveled and partied by an enthusiastic audience of about 560 people in total. Perhaps it was the ideal balance of tragedy, slapstick, hilarious comedy as well as a bit of romantic melodrama that infused vibrant and hearty laughter into the historic Town Theatre of Grein. Our students obviously had to take comfort in one of the Shakespearean quotes in our play - „Farewell goes without sighing“- when they left the stage after our final, successful performance on Sunday, 26th September. We, the production team and our talented actors, are proud to have shown and definitely confirmed once again that Shakespeare is still topical and fun nowadays and, above all, that acting on the stage of life is worth the experience and effort!
