Having fun in the sun
On February 28th our two year four classes and their English teachers, Ms Long and Ms Mitterweissacher, and their head teachers, Mr Huemer and Mr Gusenbauer, left Linz airport for London. The big adventure had begun. We had the whole weekend to stay in London, where we spent the nights at a youth hostel. At the first view the hostel did not look so bad, but it was a challenge for us. In London we did a lot of sight seeing. For example we saw the impressive Big Ben, which is part of the Palace of Westminster. And of course, we also visited Buckingham Palace, the parks like Hyde Park, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Mme Tussaud's, the Globe Theatre, Tate Modern, and the city centre with its bustling shopping streets. We loved shopping in Oxford Street and Covent Garden. Saturday night we saw the great musical 'The Lion King' at the Lyceum. The costumes were so stunning and well acted. We were really thrilled. Even the children impersonating main characters were very impressive. After two days in London we went down south to Eastbourne...
