Pets and other animals...
In the course of three "pool"-lessons students of class 2a/group Hmr worked on a series of tasks dedicated to our four-legged friends at home – our pets. The students received a workplan and created posters, wrote poems, read and discussed about unwanted pets which end up on motorways; furthermore they indulged in favourite stories on animals like The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter and played a sketch on some small talk between two dogs etc.
On the whole, this morning led to a fundamental rethinking of our students concerning pets as they realized that having a pet means a responsibility for a longer time than just a week or some months after birthdays, Christmas, Easter and that these faithful companions prove to be loyal friends for a very long time!
