Mr. Men and Little Misses in the English classroom
Mr. Silly, Mr. Messy, Mr. Lazy, Mr. Clever, Little Miss Tidy, Little Miss Shy,... These are just a few of many funny characters created by Roger Hargreaves which enjoy great popularity around the world – among both younger and older readers. Hargreaves' original stories were the focus of an English project undertaken by Year 2 pupils.
To become familiar with the different characters, the students described and mimed their typical character traits. Then they entered their amusing world by performing a variety of e-learning activities on Moodle. Before reading one book in pairs and designing a poster on it, the pupils watched the story of Mr. Forgetful on DVD and found out why he has burnt toast for breakfast or why he walks into the wardrobe instead of the bathroom every day...
