“Trick or Treat“ at school
This year's grade 2 students eagerly worked for a project on "autumn festivals". By reading, writing, listening to texts, producing powerpoint presentations, posters, etc. and trying out games, they came across British and American traditions.
One of our POOL-Wednesdays marked the highlight of this project: A Hallowe'en party! The children dressed in scary costumes and eerie masks and competed against each other in traditional Hallowe'en games such as "apples on a string" and "bobbing the apple" to win prizes. A party full of fun and laughter! What a day!
