Woooo! Boooo! Can I scare you? - The Canterville Ghost

A ghost, an old manor house, creaking staircases, a crazy American family. This year's Unterstufen play by Vienna's English Theatre was "The Canterville Ghost", adapted from Oscar Wilde by Clive Duncan. On Jan. 26 th 2005 we enjoyed an enormously funny comedy excellently performed by only four actors who artistically appeared in several different roles. They took us on a guided tour through the building involving us into the exciting story.
The Otis family, just having bought the old Canterville House, are exploring their new home and experiencing the 'Canterville Ghost'...
It was a great theatrical morning, full of fun and suspense. The absolute highlight was the involvement of students in the play. Benjamin Gutenbrunner (3b) - ghost, Barbara Gassner (3a) – noises - and Karin Kirchner (3a) – noises - volunteered to perform on stage. We seem to have some hidden talents here. Hilariously great acting. Well done everyone!
