Teatime in WPG English
The WPG English students of Year 7 showed a lot of skill and enthusiasm when they swapped the classroom for the kitchen, the pen for the spoon and the paper for the pastry a few weeks ago.
In our afternoon tea session we prepared a nice range of delicious desserts ourselves, from Fruit Scones with Strawberry Jam and Apple Crumble with Custard to Raspberry Cheese Cake and last but not least Marshmallow Rice Krispie Treats. The last recipe was suggested by Katherine, our American assistant, who showed us how to make this special cake and thus brought a bit of American flavour into the kitchen.
Finally, the typical puddings were enjoyed the perfect British way: accompanied by original English tea, naturally served with milk. A funny and yummy afternoon!
